Have You Ever Had a Spiritual Experience While Dancing, Singing, or Playing Music? Describe the Experience.

For many of us, our first spiritual experiences were born through music. When the music is flowing through us — as we’re listening, dancing, or singing — we can feel one with the beat, with the melody, with the meaning and essence of a song.

We can also connect with God by playing music. Letting go of preconceptions, tapping into the Creative Source, and improvising melodies, harmonies, and sonic waves can set our souls on fire. For eons, countless tribes around the world have celebrated the Source of Life by chanting, dancing around fire, drumming, and singing themselves into ecstasy.

When I write songs — or when new songs flow through me as a “medium for the continual process of creation” and I catch them with my loving attention — they are designed to lift people up into a more positive or spiritual consciousness.(Check out some of my songs on my CD Wide Awake or listen to them and read their lyrics here.)

One timeless and revered avenue to the Infinite is the chanting of Om. Connecting and listening to the great vibratory rushing brings us incredible tranquility and intuitive insight.

I'm not a musician, but just throwing on music changes my mood so much! Powerful.

  2. song sister says:

dancing always takes me outside of myself.

  3. Yes! Some of the songs I wrote have a spiritual meaning behind it. There is one called “Paciência”, in english Patience. I made first the guitar but when I put the lyrics they came very naturally to me, different from other songs I made. When I finished the song I noticed that it worked as a divine message for me and some other folks who heard it. It talks about patience and how we need to be patient in our lives when we are looking for answers that seems impossible to have a solution. I felt some spiritual vibe when I was writing the lyrics and it also gave me some answers for things I was thinking about at that moment or living during a certain situation.
