Bodies as Miracles
Isn’t the whole world a miracle? The fact that infinite biological systems are interacting flawlessly at all times within our bodies is a miracle. The fact that billions of neurons can be firing and producing some kind of static consciousness is a miracle.
If everything was random or chance, there would be a bell curve of things happening and not happening at different times. But the sun is exactly a specific distance from the Earth at all times. If that distance would change slightly, it would cause the destruction of life on Earth. There are so many factors that create the environment for life; it’s set up so perfectly and it stays that way. If any of them changes just slightly, life wouldn’t exist. If the Earth was spinning a bit faster or slower, if the temperature around the earth rose just a few degrees…
What a miracle; out of a seeming nothing everything exists.

Close your eyes. Visualize everything as darkness. No light, no sound, nothing.
Imagine that nothing exists. A complete void.
Become aware of sounds. With amazement, take in the miracle of their existence. These sounds exist. They don’t have to exist, but they do!
Notice your thoughts. With amazement, take in the miracle of their existence. These thoughts exist. They don’t have to exist, but they do!
Take in the reality of your consciousness. With amazement, take in the miracle of its existence. Consciousness exists. It doesn’t have to exist, but it does!
Gently poke your thigh. With amazement, take in the miracle of its existence. Your body exists. It doesn’t have to exist, but it does!
With amazement, take in the miracle of your existence. You exist. You don’t have to exist, but you do!
Repeat this exercise with as many different observations as you can envision, and transform them into miraculous inspiration.
Out of nothing came a myriad of forms that breathe, sense, think, feel, experience, procreate, digest, excrete, and move. All is Life.
